Nyhtee might be a name you haven’t still heard of but that doesn’t mean he’s not creating a buzz, he’s already being compared to some of the greatest in music, his urban funk outshines the typical rapper on all levels, his style and music is considered that futuristic soul urban funk , Nyhtee is a triple threat, producer, songwriter and MC a musical junkie with an addiction so strong its contagious… If you don’t believe us get a dose of his musical morphine habit right here as he got caught in our wire…

Intimate Exposure With Nyhtee:

TIW: Your Video “Word Boxer” Led us to reach out to you… it was the boom bap, Pow Pow.. that gave us a sense, of a new revolution about to explode in music.. Nyhtee describe your sound, but before you do tell the readers who is Nyhtee?

Nyhtee: I grew up in Sacramento Ca from the age 1yr through 14yrs of age in the (Strawberry Manor). My mom and pops was very much in to music! My mom was a singer hearing her sing really helped me to learn how to use my voice and it also taught me how to use my ears, my pops was a guitarist! I grew up listening to everything from Marvin Gay, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Prince, Kool Moe Dee, RUNDMC, LL COOL J, SLICK RICK, THE GET FRESH CREW, ICE-T, let me stop there I could go all day with this lets just say I listened to almost every Hip Hop and R&B, Soul, and Reggae group from the 1980′s era. Music was a big part of me! It gave me a place where I can escape from the harsh reality of the streets and trust me the streets was no joke it was like any other ghetto in America you already know what thats about you don’t need details you see it everywhere but you live thru it and you grow or pray your able to! Life’s canvas and the art of music helped me paint beautiful pictures of life from an ugly view! The things that I’ve seen and been through along with the music helped shape my sound! I describe my sound as think of it as what if the end of time had a soundtrack that goes along with the chaos but with in this music, and chaos u see a path of peace where you can escape and seek for shelter a place where you can breath! I call it Hip Hop!

TIW: It’s red hot in the desert, we can imagine the burning flames erupting from the speakers is that where the influence comes from? or is there an artist we can thank now? laughs

Nyhtee: YES! there’s a few people and one GOD! But the first is GOD! I thank Father for the Gifts he’s blessed me with, and all the homie’s around me who really cared for Hip Hop like Cinque, Big Fraze, Bop, Big Yogi, Emerg McVay, Ako Mack and also Dame Grease, his sound and energy brings the best out of me you can thank them they the ones who kept me tight along with all the other 90′s artist in the industry!

TIW: Watching the video your movements were not even choreographed you was straight direct abusing the camera, haa you got to love our interview it’s going to get grittier… do you have any prior stage
experience?

Nyhtee: YES! I been performing since I was 7years old all the way up to adult hood anything from being in a choir as a child all the way up to stepping raping singing and dancing!

TIW: You was born in Phoenix, relocated to California, but then made your way back to Phoenix.. If you have stayed in Cali, the Sunshine Kush State.. ha would your style of music be different?

Nyhtee: NO! cause I don’t follow what’s being played or done around me I always follow me!

TIW: Triple Threat? Explain Songwriter – Any Ghost Writing? Producer- Who has blessed them tracks? MC- Any Collabos?

Nyhtee: YES! Yes I ghost write but I keep it on the low! Not too many people I let bless my tracks cause the tracks I make are different and it takes a different kind of artist to know how to bless it right but Dame Grease is 1 artist who blessed 1 of my tracks he did a song on it called “Man Eater” he killed the track murdered it DOA lol! Yeah! I got Young Have Not, Willz, Dame Grease, and Emerg McVay!

TIW: What’s the music scene like in AZ?

Nyhtee: The music scene is popin there’s a lot of talent out here but we just don’t have any support and no industry out here but there is mad talent out here in phoenix trust that!

TIW: Where do you feel music is going now? NAS states ‘Hip Hop is Not Dead’ but it feels saturated, what are your thoughts?

Nyhtee: Music is open right now it could go anywhere! Hip Hop is in your heart if you lost the love for it then it is dead to you!

TIW: It seems there’s an epidemic going around with established Rappers grabbing then bars tight, laughs dam I’m going to hell, but for real and I hear your sherriff, judge is no joke, what you think is happening there? are these artist getting tired or too fancy to be creative.. You fancy huh? lol

Nyhtee: Police state keep away! Most new artist in these days don’t understand the roots in Hip Hop you got to be creative it’s art!

TIW: This leads us to want to know why Nyhtee will not get swallowed by temptation? or you think lust will overpower that strength?

Nyhtee: Been there done that I know what it is! See lust only last for a minutes while a positive change in life last forever! Witch one will you choose?

TIW: What’s a Typical day for Nyhtee and how does it end?
