Company Background

We are a newly opened dance academy located in Klang. Although we are new, our founder, Mr Raymond Tan has been in the dance industry for quite some time, 7 years to be precise. He started dancing at the age of 17 and later joined Urban Groove as a dance instructor. After four years, he decided to venture on his own and founded Raydio Dance Academy.

He is a certified Hip-Hop Dance instructor, awarded by United Kingdom Alliance. He regularly participates in dance workshops to continuously upgrade his skills and maintains contacts with like-minded dancers to keep himself abreast with latest techniques and dance styles.

- Youth Malaysia Hip Hop Dance Competition in Sunway Pyramid organized by Young Malaysian Movement, May 2009

- Hop to the beat Dance Competition, organized by Nilai College. 2007 & 2008
- Pepsi Dance Competition in Zouk organized by Pepsi Malaysia, March 2009
- MCA Hip Hop Competition at One Utama, organized by Youth Section MCA, May 2009
- China Press Hip Hop Competition at City Square organized by China Press, Johor Bahru, April 2009
- Intercollege Dance Competition at Taylors College organized by Taylors College, March 2009
- Rock! Just Dance Competition at Klang Parade, April 2010.

Objective

The objectives of the Academy are:

- Spread positive message to general public that street dance can be a healthy activity and that it is open to all age groups.
- To share knowledge about and teach street dance in a proper way
- Produce more quality dancers to participate in international competitions to gain worldwide recognition as Malaysian talents.
- Organize dance events and competitions to create more platforms for dancers to showcase their talents.

We offer all forms of street dance:

- Hip-Hop
- Breakdance
- Popping
- Locking

Besides teaching the various dances, we organize dance workshops. Additionally, we offer choreography services and/or provide dancers if you wish to liven up your companys events. Give us a ring to discuss how to make a difference to your event!
