New Queen in Hip Hop & Spoken Word (USA)

by Simone Walker
(Norfolk, VA USA)

Spoken Word has begun to establish herself all over the world. Her album, Hip Hop Will Never Die has gained international attention and placed in online stores throughout the world. She was even surprised to see the album posted in places such as Australia, Poland, and especially Ireland. She is most definitely the next big voice in the underground world of hip hop emcees. Outside of her lyricism, she has had a full experience within her career as a Spoken Word Artist. She has traveled and performed in places throughout the US, but her most exhilarating experience was found in a little spoken word venue in Richmond, VA. (Close to home)

That was a great experience because that was my first time going back on stage as a spoken word artist. I find the spoken word audience to be very enlightened and open to learn new things within each individual culture thats present. Spoken Word is most definitely a Genre that brings true knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and lots of fun. Spoken Word

Look for her again in 2012 as she is now working on her first book and next album. In addition to that, she has also established a networking site (Word Life Production) that brings cultural awareness within urban communities. Through this organization, Spoken Word wishes to promote social change, social political justice, community empowerment, economic development, and diversity.

A community is a product of its builder. If we dont understand who we are through our own cultural experience then we are most def a lost generation. Knowledge is power; I often promote awareness even when I am rejected. You cant escape your purpose and maybe thats just what I was purposed to do. In all honesty, if I have to be a builder, I would like to start on a solid foundation. Anything built on a solid foundation will be able to stand in the mist of the storm. Spoken Word

Her many gifts and talents do not go unnoticed. Many of her supporters are people that work hard within the urban community to promote awareness and change. I guess there will always be an audience for soulful music. The oppression within the United States is steadily growing and there are people out there that are hungry for some sort of understanding as to whats going on. We wish Ms. Spoken Word all the best in her career. Her positivity has become nothing but a breathe of fresh air to her many supporters.
