Today, though Lacoste has moved on to other forms of clothing and fashion, it is still known for their high quality tennis shirts and is ranked as one of the top companies to make and market this kind of shirts worldwide. The company is commonly recognized by its logo, a green crocodile.

Men and fashion never walk hand in hand, well, I say bull to this remark, and I even go on to adding that fashion is something that men understand just as well as women do. Besides, it’s not just us men who drool over the music videos of Jennifer Lopez and Rihaana you know. Even the women go ga-ga when they tune in to see Justin Timberlake and Robbie Williams. What’s the point of bringing that up you might ask, well, check out the names that I’ve just put in, Justin, Robbie, these guys are known world over for making fashion statements.
There are just so many brands sprouting from all over but one of them simply needs no introduction whatsoever. The Lacoste brand is one of those very few brands that actually clicks to the mind when you think of something unique which simply means that something from the boardroom taken out to the streets and still having an urban kinda appeal to the youth who are especially into hip hop style of clothing. Sure, we men are capable of dressing ourselves up for occasions but that’s not exactly what we’re talking about now, is it? Lets face it people, Lacoste is not just any brand, I mean, look at its history for crying out loud. Starting out from the 1930s and still going stronger than ever in the year 2008, Lacoste clothing is truly regarded as a hallmark brand in the fashion industry.
From the early 19 th century to the 21sy century, the change that Lacoste clothing has gone through is truly remarkable. I mean, just look at this, it simply started when Rene Lacoste, the tennis champ wore a shirt that he had designed himself and now, the Lacoste brand has come out to be one of the most popular clothing and accessories brands ever with its signature crocodile logo dawning each of its products. Hey sure, I ain’t got nothing against companies like the ones that display clothing by P. Diddy, G-unit, etc, but what Lacoste has to offer, is truly unique. We like to refer to it as stylish.
Hip hop artists from all over are seen wearing the Lacoste brand even during the red carpet events. With an ambassador like Andy Roddick on their side, Lacoste is doing pretty well in the urban fashion industry. This brand with its crocodile emblem has pretty sexy clothes to choose from. They’ve got the button up shirts, the v-neck tee shirts, jersey tee shirts, polo shirts, track jackets, vintage hoodies, etc. On thing that shouldn’t be forgotten is that Lacoste always has its sporting roots.
