Avirex is clothing line making high quality clothes for men since 1975. It is company that was founded by Jeff Clyman who was an aviation enthusiast. His concept was unique. It was not like he set on to start a clothing line like many do. His idea was to make jackets that resembled the ones won the by pilots during the World War II. His father was a fighter pilot during the war and as he wore those jackets later, many would ask questions about them, hence getting the inspiration to start the company for that purpose. Today, the company has advanced to other areas of designing and their clothes are finding great favor among the youths.
So far I haven’t a young man who is not interested in the army or air force. The funny thing here is, not like all the young man would fancy working as army officer or pilots in the air force. In fact, some would rather spend a year in jail than go for war in Iraq! But talking about it or wearing army fatigue gives them a feeling of strength as a man. Hip hop enthusiasts claim to be in the ghetto army and even love to wear camouflage! This kind of craziness about the army fatigue started many years back. As a boy, you might have pestered your parents to buy for you army choppers or guns. Now, you can have a chance to carry on the mighty feeling by wearing something from Avirex.

Avirex was formed in 1975 to make jackets with looks the one used by the pilots in the World War II. You can bear me witness that these jackets had takers especially in the 70s when there was a kind of feeling among many young people especially the ones from major urban areas that they need some form of liberation and the only way to achieve this was through fighting for their rights. Wearing an air force jacket was one way therefore of satisfying this manly ego. The jackets were rough and tough, and had original colors like the ones used for the army jackets. Today, the concepts hold water, though the designs are now oriented towards satisfying the needs of a contemporary young man, with the same desire to feel good about himself but still look modern!
Avirex in reaching to its target customers and fitting in well as a street fashion brand has begun producing shirts, tee shirts, tops, denim jeans and accessories.
